A limited edition of Lawrence of Arabia’s book The Seven Pillars of Wisdom worth over £20,000, letters from the Executioner who devised the drop trap “humane” method of hanging, Keiller’s recipe for marmalade – reputed to have been developed from a spoiled shipment of Seville oranges - ballads of Scotland from 1530 and the Tay Bridge Disaster are just some of the gems from the Treasures and Silence of the Lamb projects based in Dundee.

Fred Guy [pictured left] of the National Library of Scotland declared these two important Dundee Library projects live on Tuesday 22 April. He thanked the Dundee Library team for their hard work and also congratulated SCRAN on its management of the whole RLS project.

Lisa Flynn and David Kett [pictured right] from Dundee Libraries then presented a range of amusing and insightful stories on this fabulous collection of materials, which as David Kett said, “reveals Dundees’s richness to the people of Dundee and through RLS to the rest of Scotland and to the world.
